Desislava Tomova was born in Sofia. She graduated from the Bachelor's program in "Personalized Audiovisual Journalism" and the Master's program in "Theatrical Directing in a European Context" and doctoral studies in "Creative and Art Entrepreneurship". He has two books published in Spain: the novel El cronógrafo del Dr. Cohen (Sefarad Editores, 2017) and the short story collection The end of paradise (El paraíso en el desenlace), Exlibric Editorial, 2020 ). Alt Autores has made an audio version of the novel in Spanish. She has a scientific book published in English titled "The New Methods of Funding of the Cinema in Bulgaria and Spain (Lambert Academic Publishing, 2024). In recent years she has worked as an independent director, screenwriter, and writer between Bulgaria and Spain. He produces independent Bulgarian cinema "ad hoc" in Spain. He lives in the most cheerful and warm part of Spain - Malaga. He lives in the border zone of cinema, theater, literature, music, and painting.

“The chronograph of Dr. Cohen” is a short novel, aiming to show the life of a young Bulgarian lady of Jewish origin. This narration depicts the troubles and the metamorphoses which its main character passes through, to attain a spiritual catharsis. The book is about love in all its appearances. The story mixes visual poetics and cracked humor with a nostalgia for a wounded identity and the experience of unrequited loves, the memories of how they were lived and irretrievably lost...
